We understand that, when we look for the reciprocal of a particular number, that given number must move either up or down for another number to take place. Like these:

1.The reciprocal of 4 if 1/4.Similarly, the reciprocal of 1/4 is 4.
if the reciprocal of x is y,then the reciprocal of y is x.
2.The product of any number and its reciprocal is 1.Thus, the reciprocal of any number is its multiplicative inverse.
3.If a number is multiplied by a power of 10, its reciprocal is divided by that power of 10.
